Well, I installed Firefox 2.0 exactly yesterday. Today, When I was surfing, my machine froze, I had to reboot it. When i tried that, NO DICE.
I booted with the install CD to run the Disk Utility. The drive showed up fine, but the filesystem was GONE! Figuring that this was a momentary lapse of reason on the part of the system, I rebooted with the install CD again.
This time the filesystem showed up, and I was able to repair things.
I’m somewhat of an optimist, I fired up Firefox again, and the same thing happenned.
Yikes.
I’m not using Firefox 2.0 until 2.1 comes out…
I should let you all know that it looks like a bad disk is to blame for my problems. I’ve been having other filesystem, and disk hardware related problems lately.
So, ff 2.0 didn’t do anything nasty, it was my disk - bummer.
I’ve never tried to replace a disk in an iBook before heh heh…
