So I’ve moved back to Pittsburgh, and I sometimes grab the subway at the Steel Plaza station when it’s raining, which is fairly often around here. Anyone who rides public transit may find this amazing, because everyone who was waiting for the train was lined up, single file, approximately where the doors for the train would be. There was nobody there telling them to do that, they just self-assembled into the most considerate, efficient way to get on the train. Most of the time I find something to gripe about, but this really impressed me, and it happens everyday at rush hour. Who’da thunk, huh?
