We went to see Honeytribe on Friday, at The House of Rock. We danced, took some pictures, had a good time.

phocas - feb05 - a velvet st louis trip

I found this article, which has mentiono of our buddy Don Tinsley, spinning at velvet. I believe Velvet has closed now, so much for Paul Oakenfold coming to town…

Assured: The Isode Blog

Yeah. I just found this. I remember these guys from back in the day.

They are gods. I built a isode X.500 server a while ago, I guess I became a QUIPU, but I’m not really sure.

The Car…

Mia Auto est Siddlefukked!

This is the unlikely scene me and my brother-in-law stumbled upon on our way home from lunch one day shortly before Halloween. Home is the unseen house immediately to the right, outside of this frame.

The stuff spilt outside the driver’s side window is Halloween candy. The (by long gone) joyrider was a thirteen year old girl. It was her boyfriend’s mom’s car.

This picture was used by the Oak Park Wednesday Journal on their crime page. The bastards never paid me; the credit reads “Photo Courtesy of Douglas Dawson” and I’m thinking “Yeah, that’s not too courteous of you, ya greedy bastards, ya lousy fu…”

But hey - in a hundred years, who really cares?

The Sound of Music

While I sit here sipping beer and waiting for my first post to magically disappear, I’m rocking out to what might possibly be the best internet music solution around. It’s late, I’ve worked all day analyzing websites, so I have the melodic touches of Gamer’s Radio screaming Slipknot at me.

Live365 offers a wide variety of music streams, as well as talk radio and comedy. If you’re doing the free 33 hour test, like me, you put up with occasional ads, but they’re really not obnoxious. Something less than $50 a year gets you the VIP package - no ads, incredible variety of music. If you don’t want to rock out, you can groove to dozens of Jazz stations, or mellow with some Mozart, or, as I’ve been known to do, hit one of the 80’s stations for a dance party package with Bowie, Berlin, and BowWowWow. House, Acid, Lithuanian Clog Tunes - it’s all here.

If you have broadband, I think you’ll find that internet streaming radio beats the pants off of Napster, iTunes, or any other pay-as-you-go scam site. Check it out.

Is This Where I Sign Up For The Good Life?

Left alone in this big drafty three story neo-Victorian in Oak Park, IL. Finally logged on and registered at Geekforce. Thanks E and Dave, hey! from the past.

You might remember me from such addresses as dwdawson@geekforce.com, or dwdawson@dslab.com.

For better or worse I don’t really do drugs anymore, so hopefully the quality of my posts shall show definite improvement over what you saw eight or nine years ago…anyway, this is my test of the system, just to see where this post goes and what happens and what not. Kill if necessary, but throw me an e-mail telling me where and how I stepped on my Johnson so I won’t do it again. Thanks.

Geek out.
