When game geeks get stuck:

Clay is legendary in the game-geek community. He’s created several “multi”
kits that allow owners of vintage arcade machines to play several titles
on their machine by attaching daughter-boards to their cpu’s. He used to
make multi-pac man kits, but his williams multi-kits are the rage now. The
units are often found in reconditioned williams cabinets with new vinyl,
glass and side graphics, and retail for a couple of grand:

The best part is that it requires the owner to have the actual game to
enjoy his fruits, which not only prevents piracy, but helps keep antique
hardware alive.

Excellent use of photoshop and stock photography too. The kid on Dad’s shoulders is a nice touch. ;-}
I have a typical “beige box” computer in my living room, whirring away happily. It used to be really loud, but I splurged and bought an $18 Noise Killer kit from Circuit City to make it quiter. The kit consists of a few slicone rubber gaskets for the power supply, some screws with the same kind of rubber bushings and washers. Only 4 of the screws were threaded and sized correctly, I had to work the washers off of them and used the existing mounting screws. It only took about 20 mins to unattach the power supply, the fan on the processor, reattach everything and replace the washers on the hard drives. I was kinda skeptical, and I didn’t think it would quiet down as much as it did. Now I can stand having the machine on. I recommend the process to anyone with a noisy box.

Dead as a door nail. I know this is dumb, but I’m depressed. I had that camera for about 4 years, and took over 3500 pictures with it. What happenned? I dunno. It doesn’t work anymore.
Anyone want to send me a new one? I’m sitting in the lobby of the hotel, posting this right lamenting my situation over a giant beer.
I bought a FILM camera - woah! I decided that having abackup would be good. But I wanted a camera I undedrstand, and know what the picrtures look like coming out of it.
My girlfriend said I could borrow hers, but I just like having my own.
So the economics work out like this: I’m gonna buy a D-10, or a Digital Rebel when I get back state side, but for now, I bought a cheap sub $200 film camera, and enogh film for like 7 days.
I took one roll in about 2 hours today already.
I fugure I get a $200 camera, a bunch of film, and just get CD’s out the other side until I can get back home. Processing the film shoul cost me another $150 bucks, so I think I’m OK.
What a bummer. I gotta start making minimum payments on the credit card to pay all this down when I get home.
