Spent the labor day weekend in beautiful French Lick, Indiana. I was helping to put on the Indiana Microbrew and Music Festival, also referred too as Brewstock.
The venue, Elk Ridge Resort, is a nice place, with a golf course, a decent restaurant, and a really nifty movie theater tucked into what used to be a grain silo. Good tunes, but not being a beer drinker I can’t comment on the beers, but those that were taste testing seemed to have a good time.
The town of French Lick, besides having a great name, is home to a fantastic turn of the century resort, The French Lick Resort and Spa. Big time opulence, fantastic service, and really cool Jamaican staff members, comfy beds, and lots of hot water and fluffy towels.
