I’m recharging too, OK, so yeah, I did just get back form Nantucket so no fair, but this week, or what was left of it felt like a goddamn month!
I’m cleaning house, and watching movies, and cooking dinner saturday night!
Dinner anyone?
We’re geeks, damnit!

After the fun of the past few weekends, this week I’m gonna stay in town and hang with my cats, Jackson and Newt. The urge to be a hermit is only compounded by the fact that it is so f**cking hot and humid here. Air conditioning and some movies sounds like a nice recharge to me.
Currently in my DVD player (thank you Netflix for opening a St. Louis warehouse!),
The Simpsons, First Season ;
Spacehunter (with Molly Ringwald!) ;
and Fast Sofa.
Ah, simple pleasures.
This weekends festival was nice and low key, there were some technical problems, but we worked through them and all went well. Attendence was pretty light, so I used the time to try out a new rigging system for the screen, and I managed to string enough video cables together to get myself out in front of the stage, next to the lighting and sound guys.
If you get the chance, go and see The Willie Waldmen Project , those guys kick ass!
Bachmans Euphio were groovin’ all night on the second stage, wow. Go and see those guys as well. Live music…it’s good for ya!
1AM screenings of “HR Puffenstuff” went over with well. WitchyPoo on 30ft screen is pretty mind bending.
This past weekend I was in Kansas City, MO, running lights and doing that video thing that I do for The Schwag, at the Uptown Theater. Great show, wonderful venue, had a rockin’ good time. There was an impromptu jam in the underground parking lot across the street all night. I crawled into one of the bunks in the truck about 5AM…..
The Uptown is an old movie palace, built sometime in the 1920’s, which has been revamped and redone and given a new life as a music venue. Opening acts were Pepperland (Beatles tribute band) and The Pink Wall (Pink Floyd tribute band). Additional artists playing were Sadhana Farm and Heather Barth.
This weekend I will be back at Bagnell Dam, running lights and video for Soulful Union.
I’ll sleep when I’m dead.
Well, its been a busy couple of weeks.
We’re done with our release here. So, I have some time to get some real work done. I’ve got to re-write the code in Item 409, that is going smoothly. I’m building more client side javascript, that is giving me indigestion.
In the midst of all this, we’ve started to catalog some famous quotes. one of which is on the banner of this site. Here are a few:
That’s all she wrote.
