So Washington Ave. had the Washington Ave. Beat Festival.
It was fantastic.
I saw Prince Paul and Seb Fontaine. They were fabulous! I also got to go to Rue 13, which is much bigger than I had expected. There’s a good Sushi bar there. I was to (en)tranced with music to order any, but I’ll do it soon!
So $12 gets you on to Washington, and free access to all the venues. It was great.
There’s this one place called Lo, which while small was very comfortable. They were spinning Drum & Bass and Jungle there. It was good stuff. Then it was off to Tangerine to Hear my friend Jeff Feller spin. He did a great job!
After that, I went to Rue 13, where I met the head chef at Remy’s - turns out Ben is an even bigger house fan than me! so we kind ran into each other the rest of the night!
Then off to Velvet to hear Seb Fontaine open. I spent an hour at Velvet, and then went to Galaxy to hear Prince Paul. What a great DJ - He made it look like the turn table were just extensions of his body!
Bakc to Velvet, to close the place down - I spent the last hour dancing around hanging out with Ben and his girlfriend.
What a great weekend!
